Mike "Mez" Phillips, formally known just by the name Mez, has worked in comics and Illustration/Graphic Design over the last 20 years mainly as a freelancer. Working on projects on a commission basis or working on creator owned books. In addition to his commission schedule, he works as an Art Instructor at a Charter school in North Carolina. He is currently working on two projects of his own; "No More" and "Hemlock".

 

Away from the art world, Mike is an avid golfer and has used his love for the game to become the coach for both the Varsity Men's and Women's golf teams at the school he teaches at. This helped him achieve something that he was unable to do when in school, bring home a state title.

 

In addition to golf, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son. You can see them at comic-cons with Mike in Artist’s Alley

 

Mike is also a music lover, where  he listens to many genres but mainly considers himself a pure metal head.
